The Moroccan
lands are rich in minerals, fossils and clay, an abundance that enriched
Moroccan pottery. The clay is mainly
used for cosmetic as well in making of pottery, for cooking and decoration. The
traditional Moroccan pottery is mostly shaped by women while the urban pottery
made for everyday use, are made out mainly by men.
In today’s time, Moroccan
art is very well known for their wide range of ceramic pottery. All were hand
painted with fine details, deep colors and variety of hand spun designs. The
most interesting forms of ceramics are of Safiot pottery. Their pottery is
incredibly complex masterpieces that are filled with meaningful designs, styles
and colors. The techniques used in creating these beautiful designs includes
engraving, stamping, molding, sculpting and a skilled artisan to further
decorate their artworks.

Morocco has many different types of soil, their artwork for pottery is
considered unique. Pottery is also an authentic souvenir fort tourist who
